Hey there! I’m Eve. I’m a goofy and charming senior gal looking for a loving family to live out my golden years with. Let me tell you my story. I am just over 10 years old and I was rescued from the local county shelter. It was clear to the humans that saved me that I had lived a long life of having many litters of puppies. I was thin and dirty but I didn’t let my past keep me down.
Now that I’m happily living the couch life with my foster parents, they tell me I’m a big goofball with a lively spirit for my age. I absolutely love people and I am amazing with kids. The humans tell me I’m an 80 pound dog and that big dogs can’t be lap dogs. I don’t believe them. If you let me cuddle with you then I’m going to accept the invitation to do so. I am looking for a home where I can be the only pet since I love my humans so much I get jealous. I am really looking forward to being the center of someone’s world.
I also love my stuffed toys. When my foster parents leave, I sit by the window and wait for them. I do get anxious because I don’t want them to stay away long, but I know what’s mine to play with in the house when I’m feeling a little upset. When they come home, I’ve never been happier. I check to make sure they’re okay then I go straight to my toys to show them how happy I am with a few squeaks. Exploring outdoors is fun for me, which is why I’d love a porch or yard. I like doing anything my humans do. As long as my family knows I need more patience and creativity (especially with finishing all my food) than those young gals. I like treats (especially when I'm a good listener on walks), but belly rubs, head scratches, being brushed and being told I’m good are my biggest motivators.
I have this thing called heartworms. I am currently undergoing treatment. Don’t worry though I can still be adopted and would love to be your gal.
